Christian is the CEO of Saint Clement and is in overall charge of our operations. He has extensive experience in the legal and marine insurance fields and has held senior positions in London and New York as well as in his native Sweden. Christian has particular expertise in contentious cargo claims and recoveries and frequently acts on behalf of insurers in such matters. He graduated with a LLM in International Law from Lund University in 1998 and a LLM in Maritime Law from University of Southampton in 1999.

Mika Hallakorpi has 20 years of shipping law experience handling complex multi-jurisdictional marine disputes. He is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and he is admitted to practice in the Courts of New York, including the United States District Courts for the Southern and the Eastern Districts of New York as well as the United States Court for International Trade. Mika is also admitted to practice in Finland.

Carolina Velez is currently studying for her LLM in International Maritime Law at Swansea University. She holds a degree in international business from a Colombian university and has more than 5 year experience in the shipping industry. Carolina speaks Spanish and English..

Cristina graduated in Law from UCM and holds a LL.M in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton as well as title of Specialist in International Maritime Law from ICADE. She is a professional of more than 18 years of experience working for P&I Clubs (in London and Brussels), law firms (Albors, Galiano, Portales and DLA Piper) and since 2009 as Marine Claims Manager and European Claims Coordinator for RSA Spain. She also lectures at University on P&I Clubs, Collision Liability and Project Cargo. Cristina speaks Spanish, English and French.

Javier holds a LL.B. from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a LL.M in International Business Management from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide. He has extensive experience as claims handler, having worked previously in the claims dept. of a Spanish bank and a U.S. based insurer. He speaks Spanish and English.

Dolores Mirmi is a qualified lawyer specialised in Maritime Law with more than eight years of professional experience in law firms. She studied law at the University of Buenos Aires. She also holds a Degree in Law in Spain and an LL.M. in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton. Dolores speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Miguel Vega studied Law at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University (UCH-CEU) and subsequently studied a Master’s degree in Business and Maritime Law at IME-ICADE. He has passed through mercantile and maritime offices. Miguel speaks Spanish, English and French.

Ana Cristina holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Valladolid, and also completed a master’s degree in art and antiques appraisal at the University of Alcalá de Henares. She is an expert appraiser of art and antiques. Ana Cristina speaks Spanish, English and Italian.

Graduated in Law from the University of Salamanca, Mar has worked as a lawyer in various law firms. For the last 15 years, she has developed her professional activity in the Judicial Department of a financial company, where she specialized in recovering debt through the recovery of real estate assets, through extrajudicial negotiations. In addition, she has carried out the follow-up and control of the judicial files. Mar she speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Marta Quiza holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, completed the Master’s Degree in Legal Practice at the UNIR, obtaining her qualification as a Lawyer and has also taken the Master’s Degree in Business and Maritime Law at IME-ICADE. She has experience in general law firms and in oil products trading companies. Marta speaks Spanish, English and French.

Javier joined the Saint Clement team in September 2020, as a Claims Assistant. He handles the opening and filing of claims, as well as payments and maintenance of claims processes.

Juan Felipe is a qualified lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia) with experience advising international clients in contractual matters in the frame of M&A transactions and participating in litigations and arbitral proceedings. He is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Maritime Business and Law at Instituto Marítimo Español and Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE). In 2020 he assisted to the winter course of the Hague Academy of International Law.

Jesús has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from UAH University (Madrid) and also holds an Executive MBA. Jesus started his career Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) as auditor and thereafter has held various senior finance positions in shipping companies (SCF Marpetrol and Empresa Naviera Elcano). Jesus joined Saint Clement in August 2017. He speaks Spanish and English.

Tatiana joined Saint Clement in March 2019. She has a law degree with a specialty in Business Management, from the University of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid and also holds a Master in Business Legal Advice from IE. Tatiana is currently the assistant to the CEO in Madrid. She speaks English and Spanish.

Ana joined Saint Clement in July 2022 and has extensive experience in the administrative and secretarial fields. She has developed her career in different legal offices and agencies.

Graduated in Public Accounting from the Santiago de Cali University (Colombia), graduated with honors for academic merit, experience of more than 10 years in the accounting and administrative sector.

Lisa holds a Commercial law degree from University of Westminster, she has studied the Legal Practice Course at the City University, London and holds a Master in Maritime Law from University of Southampton. She has worked for P&I Clubs, marine correspondents and her last employment was for a marine insurance broker where she managed the claims department. Lisa will manage Saint Clement’s growth in the Nordic region.

June has more than 3 decades of experience in handling various types of claims working in Chile for a well-known shipping agency. She has been trained in various courses related to maritime claims and insurance matters and has a Master of Business Administration in Spain (IEDE – Institute for Execute Development). She speaks Spanish and English.
